Coffee Cookie Dough Truffles
• 1 can (14oz) condensed milk
• 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup softened butter
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate morsels (or however many makes you happy)
• 1.5 pounds dark chocolate candy coating
• 1 teaspoon coffee
1. The Mixing
In a bowl, mix together the butter and brown sugar until creamy then add in the vanilla extract and coffee. Start adding in your flour little by little as you add in the condensed milk. Keep stirring during the whole process until the dough forms. Once the mixture is uniform, add in your chocolate chips.
2. The Balls
Make sure your mixture is not too creamy or you will not be able to form balls. Pat your hands with flour to keep from sticking and start to roll the dough into little balls. Place them onto wax paper once you are done and place them in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
3. The Toppings
Heat your dark chocolate candy coating in the microwave for 1 minute and let sit until cool. Dip each ball into the chocolate coating and place back onto the wax sheet. Drizzle a pinch of coffee grounds onto the top of each ball and place back into the refrigerator for another 20 minutes.
