Where to Go on the Mile

Check Out These Must-Try Restaurants on Miracle Mile

Written By: Josie Merkert

One of the busiest streets in Miami is also home to some of the best grub in town. Read below to find out where you must eat (if you haven’t already) in Miracle Mile!

Bulla Gastrobar

$$

This is my absolute favorite restaurant on Miracle Mile, and maybe even all of Miami. Bulla is a Spanish and Catalan style tapas restaurant with the option of full plates. The staff is incredibly welcoming and makes it seem like you’re at home being served by family. Huevos bulla is the most popular item on the menu and a must have, hands down. This appetizer consists of a poached egg, Serrano ham, potato foam, and truffle oil all piled on top of a heap of potato chips. The servers come to your table, break the yolk and perfectly mix it into the dish with delicacy. Bulla is a great, casual restaurant to go to for any meal of the day.

Swine Southern Table and Bar

$$$

Swine is the best place to pig out on all things meat. When you walk in, chopped wood lines the glass front of the restaurant and exposed brick walls line the rest. Automatically, an American rustic chic flows over its guests. This southern comfort food is served in large portions and is rich, so be hungry when you arrive. Also, the wait-staff is very attentive and helpful when deciding between the amazing menu options. For entrees there are burgers, pork belly, ribs, shrimp and grits and more then milkshakes, homemade oreos, and red velvet cake to finish. Whatever soul food you need, you can get at Swine.

Ortanique

$$$

The romantic atmosphere of Ortanique makes this location a great spot for a date night. With the large bar comes an amazing wine selection. The menu includes a fusion of Caribbean and tropical foods, so the fish dishes are especially tasty. Depending on what ingredients are available, the menu changes frequently so don’t set your heart on anything in particular, but no matter what you order, you will not be disappointed. There is so much variety in their food and amazing flavors in everything from the pork chop to the tuna.

Uvaggio Wine Bar

$$

To fulfill all your trendy dinner needs, this small wine bar will do the trick. Throughout the week, feel free to enjoy the live music at the restaurant as you enjoy dinner and a drink. When it comes to the weekend, who doesn’t want to attend a Saturday evening wine tasting and then stay at the same restaurant for dinner? Not me! All of the staff are proficient in their wine knowledge and are willing to suggest what pairs well with which foods. As for food, I strongly suggest you order the octopus, naan with spreads, and the charcuterie plate, which has duck prosciutto, grouper cheek rillettes, salami, and mustard. Honestly, you can’t go wrong since every item on the menu is unique and satisfies any craving

Hillstone

$$$

Known for their ahi tuna tartare, sushi, and steak, Hillstone is a classy American restaurant with a sushi bar. The service is impeccable and food comes quickly, you’ll never be disappointed. No matter what time of the day, this restaurant is almost always packed so call in to make a reservation ahead of time. To top off the experience, make sure to end your night with the 5 nut brownie and the tres leches with fresh fruit for dessert. You won’t regret it.
