Cowboy Butter

Ingredients 

Serving Size: 1 cup (4-6 people)

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)

  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives (chopped)

  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional, for some heat)

  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra spice)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions 

  1. Prepare the Butter: In a medium-sized bowl, combine softened butter, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic. Mix until smooth and creamy.

  2. Add the Herbs and Seasonings: Stir in the chopped parsley, chives, smoked paprika, hot sauce (if using), cayenne pepper (if using), and salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning to your liking.

  3. Chill (Optional): You can serve the cowboy butter immediately, but if you prefer a firmer consistency or want the flavors to meld, refrigerate for 30 minutes to an hour.

  4. Serve: Spoon the cowboy butter onto grilled meats, seafood, or veggies. It also works great as a dipping sauce or topping.
