Instructions
1. Make the Honey Butter:
In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, honey, cinnamon (if using), and a pinch of salt. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
2. Make the Hot Butter:
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, hot sauce, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until smooth. Set aside.
3. Prepare the Chicken:
In a shallow bowl, whisk the buttermilk, hot sauce and beaten egg together.
In another shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
Dip each piece of chicken first into the buttermilk mixture, then dredge it in the seasoned flour, making sure it’s fully coated.
3. Fry the Chicken:
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat, making sure there’s enough oil to cover about 1-2 inches of the chicken.
Fry the chicken pieces in batches, without overcrowding the pan, for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C). Remove the chicken and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Split biscuits in half.
