let’s make something Naughty

Classic Tzatziki

make me

Ingredients

Serving Size: 11/2 cups of sauce

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (full-fat or low-fat)

  • 1/2 cup cucumber, grated

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

  • 1-2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cucumber: Grate the cucumber using a box grater or food processor. Place the grated cucumber in a clean kitchen towel or paper towel and squeeze out excess moisture. This helps keep the tzatziki sauce from being too watery.

  2. Mix the Sauce: In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and fresh dill. Add salt and pepper to taste, mixing well. Adjust the seasoning to your liking.

  3. Chill: For the best flavor, refrigerate the tzatziki for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together.
