Classic Tzatziki

make me
Ingredients
Serving Size: 11/2 cups of sauce
1 cup Greek yogurt (full-fat or low-fat)
1/2 cup cucumber, grated
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Cucumber: Grate the cucumber using a box grater or food processor. Place the grated cucumber in a clean kitchen towel or paper towel and squeeze out excess moisture. This helps keep the tzatziki sauce from being too watery.
Mix the Sauce: In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and fresh dill. Add salt and pepper to taste, mixing well. Adjust the seasoning to your liking.
Chill: For the best flavor, refrigerate the tzatziki for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together.
