DONUTS FEST: MIAMI’S FIRST DONUT FESTIVAL
Showcasing the best donuts in South Florida while breaking the diet you thought you were on.
1. PARLOUR VEGAN BAKERY
They were one of the two vegan booths at the festival and did not disappoint! With flavors like butterbeer, churro, cake batter, etc how could you go wrong?
2. RHINO DONUTS
Although they are located in Boca, I’m now considering the drive to be worthwhile. They had great flavors like crème Brulee, oreo peanut butter cup, bourbon bacon, and strawberry fields.
3. BEAKER AND GRAY
This new Wynwood restaurant came in hot with their “surprise” flavor that everyone had to guess. Turns out the bright pink color of their beautiful donuts were caused by a vegetable…beets.
4. BUNNIE CAKES
The other vegan booth sat at the entrance of the festival and is notorious for having the most beautiful tents at festivals. They didn’t disappoint. Having cool donuts like the “chill pill” were causing a lot of traffic as people would stop in their tracks to take a picture.
5. DONUT DIVAS AND FUN FOOD
Donut Divas brought their red velvet fried Oreos to the festival and although they aren’t exactly a donut, I don’t think anyone cared. Who can pass on a red velvet fried oreo?!
6. MOJO DONUTS
Of course, it is no surprise that Mojo donuts took home the crown. I have personally driven an hour north, gotten lost for an hour, and stood in line just to try their donuts. With crazy flavors and beautiful presentations, it’s worth a drive. Although, word on the street is that they might be opening a store closer to Miami. Our prayers have been answered.
If you heard people yelling, it was probably from this booth. Don’t know how the guy had a voice by the end of the festival, but it must be a talent. They showcased awesome flavors like s’mores!
